Marketing With Alex

Alex JeffreysToday was my first coaching session with the guy you see here. His name is Alex Jeffreys and he’s been pretty successful. He is basically taking on 500 students and walking us through his successes and teaching us how we can recreate them. This guy is an awesome guy! You can just tell that he genuinely wants to help people. The coaching session tonight was supposed to be two hours long and it ended up going for four and a half hours because he wanted to make sure that he managed to answer every single last question. Now that’s dedication.

The first class was mainly about getting organized. It’s a good idea to plan ahead and set goals. You need to set a main single business goal and then create action plans to achieve this goal. Break the action plan in to a year long plan, break that year long plan down in to a ninety day plan, break that in to a four week plan, plan out your upcoming week, and finally plan your tasks for tomorrow today. Alex recommends getting a cooking timer so that you can stay focused for an hour at a time without checking e-mail, forums, website stats, etc.

Another recommendation, that I have been meaning to do but haven’t, is creating a mindmap. One place to do this is at mindmeister.com. You can basically dump out all of your plans and ideas in to one place and organize them in to groups. It is a great way to get ideas out of your head and sorted in to a coherent form.

The greatest thing about this coaching program though is that there are 500 other students who are all on the same page and all want to help each other out. I have offered up my blog creation and theme design services, and in return, received offers to create graphics, videos, ebooks and more. It is going to be a great community and a great resource for everyone involved.

At the end of the coaching, the whole group is going to meet up somewhere in the world. Last year they all met in Vegas. This is going to be a blast! I can’t wait. I know I will make some good, life-long, connections and joint-venture partners. It is going to be an amazing experience and I plan to share the entire journey with my readers.

Anyone else in the program? Comment below. I would love to hear from all of the people that are going to share this journey with me. Post the links to your blogs and tell me about yourself. I can’t wait to get to know my peers better!

      Hey Marcus!
Thanks for the comment. Congratulations on winning your spot in the coaching. That really is great. It’s a very valuable prize from what I understand. I see only great things ahead and I can’t wait to get to know you and all my fellow classmates better.

  • His coaching last night was truly remarkable, to say the least. I have NEVER seen anyone online who seems more dedicated than Alex to helping each and every person out (And I’m not even talking about his patience…that’s a story in itself!).

Whatever the trip will be this time, I can’t wait!

  • Hi Matt,

I am also a member of Alex’s program. I’m really excited by the incredible amount of information he has already shared with us, even though it was only the first call!

I’m listening through the call again, hoping to glean a little more value until the next session.

Good luck, and I hope to be working with you toward success for all of us.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting Mark! I really appreciate that. The best part is all of the connections that we are making right now!

  • Hi Matt

Just dropping around a few of the blogs from the new group of Alex’s students.

I was on his first course and learned so much from him. I’m still putting a lot of it into place and I am not as far advanced as many of the other students who were on that first course (or this one either!).

So what I would say to people like Jose is don’t worry if other people are moving so much faster than you. You’ll probably go through a period of feeling a bit put off by the success of others, but don’t let it worry you.

Just keep moving forward at your own pace. We all have different lives (and as a mum I have plenty more interruptions) and different goals. It can take some time to find your own niche and to get going in it (I have found the way I want to go and am currently working on getting that up and going).

Most of all enjoy the journey and keep moving forward.

Oh and to those of you in the UK – yep I know the sleep deprivation too! I had many a late night / early morning, but it’s worth it and if you can’t be there (or fall asleep!) you can always (and should) listen again in the members’ area.

Have fun and those of us who were on the first course are happy to help so please do get in touch!

      Hi Hilary,
Great comment and some great advice. I’ve been doing this blogging thing for almost three years. I wouldn’t expect people to know what I know quite yet. That’s why I’m trying to teach it. :)

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

    • Hey there Hilary.

Hi how are you doing ?

It’s very nice of you to make your offer of help.

Coming from a past student of the F500 to a new student of the S500.
If (F) stands for first then (S) must stand for second.

  • Hey there Matt.

    How are you?
Thanks for dropping by my blog.
    Your comments are most welcome.

Yes it was a great session. The guy truly is awesome.

I agree entirely with your sentiments and hope we are all going to be huge successes.
I too can’t wait to get to know all of the other coaching students better.
That way we can help each other and as Hillary say’s the first students are all standing by to help in any way so we are doubly blessed. It can’t get any better !!

I know some of us will form strong relationships and create opportunities to help each other in the future.

Doing add swaps is a great way once we have a list !!

Matt can I ask you !! In your side bar you have ” More Amazing Blogs ” is that done with a plugin or is it a widget?

Or have you just used a “Text” widget?

    Speak soon.

    • Matt:

      Hey Malcom,
Thanks for stopping by. I have no doubt in my mind that we will all be successful. We’ve surrounded ourselves with too many good people not to. :)

The “More Amazing Blogs” is a combination between a Plugin and a Widget. It’s actually a plugin called “Better Blogroll”. You add a list of blogs to your blogroll, drag and drop the widget in to your sidebar, and I set mine to randomize and show 10 blogs at a time from my blogroll. Hope that helps.

  • Hey Matt.
I’ve done that now and it’s working great.

    Thanks a lot buddy … it’s appreciated.

Now can you tell me how you’ve got these replies going ?

    Because I think it’s a great format.

  • Hi Matt how are you,my name is Terry weatherill and I am also on Alex’s coaching program I’ve decided to visit your blog after reading some of your comments in the forum. I must say my friend you have one very nice blog here. I have just started mine but unfortunately as a complete newbie to blogging mines a little poor at the minute. I find the biggest problem is what to actually put down, but I suppose that will improve with time. If you don’t mind I will probably use your blog as an example to work towards and lets all enjoy this exciting journey together, keep up the good work mate :-)
